Derelict in Japan

Haikyo? Leave me alone.

Being a bit of a misanthrope images of urban decay always get me thinking wistfully about the next Spanish Flu and stocking up on Pot Noodles. Combined with the otherworldliness of Japan this urban exploring Frenchman’s photos have me twitching to jump on a jet and create my own little Spirited Away/Walking Dead.

“Haikyo simply means ruin in Japanese. But haikyo also describes the Japanese version of the hobby known as urban exploration. Haikyoists, as we call them, visit abandoned towns, houses, hospitals, schools, industrial sites, theme parks and virtually any forgotten or abandoned place. This website is the result of years of adventures throughout the Japanese ruins.”

Anyway enough rambling from me,  ENJOY THE LINK.
