In 2002, Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, created 1% for the Planet® and started a global movement. 1% for the Planet® is an alliance of businesses who understand the necessity of protecting the natural environment. As a member we will donate 1% of our gross sales (regardless of profits) to some of the thousands of environmental partners tackling the planet’s most pressing environmental issues. The ethos of 1% for the Planet® rang true to the team at Sunhouse, putting people & the planet above profits, and using our business as a force for good. When we all work together, 1% adds up.
